"Business With Reverence: 3 Dangers Every Business Person Must Avoid"*
1: Don't Trust Your Riches - Trust God*
*Text: Mark 10:23-25, Deuteronomy 8:17-18*
Business can make us feel self-sufficient. "My hustle, my connections, my strategy made me."
But Moses warned: _When you are full and your barns are full, be careful you don't forget the Lord._
*Application:*
Every profit, every contract, every open door is from God. Dedicate your business to Him first. Tithe, pray over your shop, and let Him direct your deals.
*Danger if we don’t:* We become proud and far from God.
* 2. Don't Love Money - Love Righteousness*
*Text: 1 Timothy 6:9-10, Matthew 6:24*
The problem is not having money. The problem is when money has you.
Many fall into compromise, fraud, and shortcuts just to "blow".
*Application:*
Set boundaries before the money comes. Decide now: "I will not lie to customers. I will not cheat. I will not work on Sunday if God says rest."
You cannot serve God AND greed. Choose one master.
*Danger if we don’t:* The love of money is a trap that destroys faith and family.
3. Don't Be Dishonest - Be A Light*
*Text: Proverbs 11:1, Colossians 3:23*
God hates "fake scales". Fake products, fake receipts, hiding information.
But He blesses honest weights. In business, your character is your brand.
*Application:*
Work "as unto the Lord". Treat customers like you’re serving Jesus. Let your shop, your office, your online store reflect God’s integrity.
When you have reverence, people will say: "This Christian, you can trust them."
*Danger if we don’t:* We damage our witness and invite God’s judgment.
---
*Closing Word for Business People:*
Business is ministry. God gives you wealth not just to spend, but to be a blessing.
*Proverbs 10:22* - "The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it."
Reverence = Protection. Reverence = Promotion. Reverence = Provision.
